This group is for the discussion of photography and how it affects our daily lives and our own individual selves. Photography has a dramatic impact on life and I thought discussions around this would be interesting and useful. It is being increasingly used in psychology, sociology, counselling, health and the arts. I am currently undertaking a Masters Photography degree, my subject of study is Menopause. This is largely to do with women but I have discovered that men have a menopause too.
I also use photography to de-stress myself when things begin to overwhelm me or to deal with stress that occurs in my life and I am not alone in that. Many photographers, past and present, have done this too.
Additionally I have created a photographic construct for use in coaching which I continue to develop. I am also in a photographic health research group at university and my images have recently been used in the university's Mental Health week with two other student colleagues to bring attention to the mental health of students.
So this group is about the aspects photography has on us personally and also in society at large.
I welcome any and all photographers wishing to discuss the beneficial, and even perhaps, not so beneficial aspects of photography.
