Severn Valley Railway

This is the annual 40's weekends held at the stations between Kidderminster and Bridgnorth.

We are meeting at the Bridgnorth end at the Railway Arms Pub next door to the station at the top of the ramp on the 6th July at 10am - 10.30am and then we will be travelling up and down the track between all the stations.

Plenty of parking in the field behind the Station and then a short 2 - 3 minute walk down to the platform.

Access is via Station lane to the right of the station car park. Between the Vets and the Station.

I saw 'stop me and buy one' icecream man while waiting for the 'battle' - I asked for a white Magnum- " Is it 6d?" I asked; " No Sir, £1-35p" he replied - Oh well, I thought it would have been at 1940's prices !

I just tried to post a photo here in this section and it went into the Main Gallery where it was posted already so I had to delete it - you can see my results then by clicking on my name pentaxpete and finding all my portfolio shots including the ones from the SVR .

Hi Pete

If you go to the meeting and page and then click the link to the SVR meeting and then click the link to "Upload your photo". At the bottom of the load-up page is a drop down menu witch gives you the option to download to the meeting. You may have to click the Attended button before all this.

Thanks Angela ; I got it to work now - you have the same name as my first Daughter who has made me a Grand-dad !
