SE Group - Ashdown Forest 2011

Our final get together for 2011 is, for those with vivid imaginations, a trip to see Pooh, Piglet, Eeyore, Tigger & Owl in The Enchanted Place.

I have chosen the Gills Lap car park ( free ) as our start location but as there so many other places nearby we can always move on depending on the weather / prospect of a sunset etc.

Trees, Gorse, Burnt Gorse bushes ( similar to Cadman Pool ), Bracken, Pine Cones, Grasses, Undulating Hills and Holly Berries to name just a few ideas.

We will NOT be visiting Pooh Sticks Bridge.

If you have the Ashdown Forest Map it is in square F5

If not it is Midway between Hartfield & Duddleswell on the B2026 at the junction of Chuck Hatch Road ( High Road ) and Kidds Hill

I have also found a delightful Tea Room nearby ( 5 minutes ) where a snack can be obtained until 15:00 and cakes etc. a bit longer until around 16:00

Hi everybody - I'm not going to be able to make this after all as my husband needs the car to get to a choir rehearsal. Sorry - but will join in again next year. Hope you all have a great time.

Any ideas for an alternative we can move on to as the weather forecast for Sunday is not at all good.

I was there yesterday and found a more wooded area nearby that would shield from the winds and possibly some of the forecast rain.

I have spent all morning looking at a map and have drawn a blank of anything else in the area.

Just so depressing as it is absolutely lovely at the moment... 12:27 Friday 9th
