Henfield Area Meander

Sunday 22nd April 2012
Meet 12pm at Woodmancote Church car park.

The plan, suggested by Julie, but as always subject to change on the day depending upon the weather.

Starting at Woodmancote church, just outside Henfield on the A281
If there is no service the key can be obtained in order to explore inside the church.

Next to the church is a deer park at Woodmancote Place. The deer are in a large fenced area, of several fields and woodland, that has public footpaths through it.

Within a short walk, are Bluebell woods. Although they are private we have obtained permission to enter, hopefully the Bluebells will still be around !

Within a short drive into Henfield is a great collection of farmyard machinery and general junk, this could occupy us for some time.

We can then stop for a pub meal early in the evening and if the weather allows, finish off the day with a sunset and star trails, either at the river, or back at the church.


If required, bring a packed snack / drink as there are no cafes nearby.
