On a visit to Wrest Park in Bedfordshire I wandered around the house and observed many ceiling paintings of which this is one.
The lighting is a bit odd, and harsh on the gold. Did you use flash, or was there strong directional light? There is strong drop off of light around the edges, too, and I am not crazy about the light fixtures. Crop the centre and correct the perspective? You could then clone out details you didn't want. I think the best way to get these shots is to lie down on the floor directly underneath, or failing that to stand directly underneath and look as close as possible to straight up.

it's just a picture of a picture on a ceiling though - cool for recording your memories but no real "photographic" interest in the shot.
