This really was a grab shot!
My camera was hanging at my side when this Foden came trundling towards me going, for a Foden, fairly quickly.
I flung back my jacket (like Clint does with his poncho in the 'Dollar' films) swung the camera up to my face, simultaneously switching it on with one finger and removing the lens cap with the other hand, the one that was restraining the German Shepherd, waited a nano-second for a gap in the traffic, composed it, pressed the shutter half way, paused and fired.
And ended up with a shot that's nowhere near as interesting as the story of how I took it!

Yep! No expense was spared!
Actually, I was a bit p****d off because if I'd seen it sooner, even with a b****y great dog at my side, I could have got a shot that was at least half way decent!
And to cap it all, I've been out and about all day, my camera at my side and this was the only shot that I took.
I even had to use it in my 'Photo 366' blog because it was all that I had!
I suppose it's fortunate that there's some humour to be found in it.
I'm going to London for the day tomorrow, so unless I get struck by lightning or swallowed up by an earthquake, I should think that I'll come back with something better than this!
Quote: are you sure it would be a better pic without the blur?
I kind of wondered that.
I think it would work if the lorry was absolutely sharp and everything else was to remain as it is but there's no in-between solution.
