OK People, The title for the next challenge is " A New Beginning". Closing date is Mon 7th Jan @ 2100. I will be very broadminded re interpretation.

We need a better response, otherwise the club is in danger of becoming the John, Maurice and CJ show.

This time I will accept 2 photos, of which at least 1 must be on topic.

Tis Christmas Eve, Babes.

Merry Xmas to one and all.

mauriceegan
1 Dec 2012 - 6:56 PM

Great choice Derek. Getting back to what CJ suggested it would work if everybody voted but couldn't vote for their own photo. I would even allow those members who didn't submit a photo to vote.It would mean that they should in theory vote for the best photo. The votes could be in the comments like this and they could be counted by who ever set the challenge. The winner would then as now set the next challenge

mauriceegan
30 Nov 2012 - 10:33 PM

CJ I agree we need to review what we are doing each week, however I think the outcome of what you suggest is that potentially each participant would vote for their own photo each week and we would have stalemate each week.

cjlar
cjlar e2 Member 1cjlar vcard Ireland
30 Nov 2012 - 9:49 PM

Well done Maurice. Prompt as usual. Could I suggest a slight change in format for next week.
The winner picks the subject as usual, but next week's winning photo is selected by a vote by all photo submitting members.

This might get some more participation but could need some organisation
In the event of a tie the previous week's winner will decide.
I'm not sure if the website will support this format but maybe a text vote to the judge would work

Just an idea to throw around
CJ

OK. Here we go. In from pub and happy.

Gerry. Them slates are valuable. Great phone photo though. Did you crop that?

Mick Fitz. If you had Maurice's sky that would be a nice one.

Maurice. I prefer the dark one. John Fitz will tell us what settings to use in that scenario.

Maurice's dark Ardfert is this week's winner.
