One old, I've absolutely no idea how old, came to me from a member on here. I've equally no idea which one but he was having a clear out, in a manner of speaking and decided that it and a not-quite-so-old Minolta SLR were surplus to requirements.
Bizarrely, it still has film i it.

The other, new last summer, speaks for itself.

I took the shot using my trusty old 'Fuji S5700' bridge camera, mounted on a tripod, using only the room's overhead light.
There's no option on the Fuji to use a remote, so I fired it using the timer set to 2 seconds.

Hi Brendan thought you might like some info on the old camera, you will see they were produced in Walthamstow east London which is not far from me.

Thanks Ken,

I've bookmarked that.

These images seem to have stirred up quite a response. I have the original colour one in my pf. for the time being and it's also also in my bog. In both instances, people have come forward with an opinion or a story.

I also posted the original on another site that I use a lot and one of the other members on there has come up with a short but pretty definitive history of the Ensign. I've added it to the comments on the pf. version.

Sorry to hear that you live in Walthamstow Grin

Bren.
