I would explain but you might know where Jack lives!
A nice direct gaze - like your expression and the folded hands.
The background is a tad distracting. I'm not totally sure, but it appears that your right ear and the framed artwork behind you is sharper than your eyes.
The eyes are the most important in a portrait.
I do like this though.

Thanks Anne, didn't think about the background to be honest, that's the beginner in me, but as you pointed it out i will think about the shot more before snapping away.
