Looking at this buckle from my older camera's pouch, I noticed it kind of looked like an evil face. At least to me with my fixation to see faces everywhere I look...
So, I shot the image in portrait format to make it better look like the face I was seeing, applied side lighting which I diffused with a paper napkin (my equipment is rather limited), and cropped tightly. Slight rotation to the left to straighten the horizontal line (the mouth) and some stamp-tool adjustments to finalise the image.

*Used a Polaroid Close-Up filter (+10) on the lens as well, to get closer to the subject.
