I have visited the Somerset levels on numerous occasions, to see this spectacle. In February 2010 it came together, staying in Glastenbury the levels were only 20mins away. The timing is important to capture this event and they move from reed bed to reed bed. These were taken at Ham Wall, I have stood at other locations and seen them fly over and roost in another reed bed. It was awesome to see and a Peregrine decided to hunt amongst them !! a bonus to say the least. The patterns were incredible as seen here, could be a larger Starling !!!
