A very early morning cup of joe Smile with the light of the rising sun coming in through the window.

Fiddled around with this one a bit. I don't do digital art (yet), but when is a photo not digitally manipulated!

Thanks for looking,

Anne

I like the sun on the plant pot.
The green against the light background is nice.
Good composition.

I wonder if the blurryness is Bokeh or movement when you took the shot.
Would have liked to have seen more sun on the cup also.
The cup is not in the centre of the mat which bugs me alittle ..... now i'm being picky sorry lol

I felt abit awkward saying things about your photos as your much more experienced than myself but i have to have a go and try. Grin

I don't think one needs a tone of experience to be able to see what one likes or dislikes in a photo.

The blurriness comes from the particular lens I use (most of the time these days). It's a Lensbaby. I don't know if you are familiar with it or not. I'm rather keen on the funky effects I can get with it.

Anyway here is their site. Have a look and see what you think.

Your time is much appreciated Smile

+The Lensbaby has worked well here
+Attractive blend of colours
+Overall a fine still life study

-The handle of the mug too close to the edge
-Perhaps too much light back ground (crop down a bit?)
-A little more frerground as a lead in

Thank you Albert. Yes, I agree about the handle (should have left the frame off......)

Funny about these kinds of images. You sit there, drinking your coffee, and the light suddenly comes in the window at the right angle; you grab your camera and a minute later the light is gone Smile

+ nice lighting
+ I like the sharpness in the top part of the mug and how it stands out against the background
+ I like the subject matter - feel like a cuppa now!

- For me, the blur is just a little too much
- background feels a little too busy
- I wonder if the mug would look more interesting with some tea or something in it?

I like the set up of the shot, the lighting is quite atmospheric.
