Took out and about today, pretty little scene converted to mono, this actaully looks lighter on my monitor, but seems to have uploaded a tad darker, don't know why, just bear that it mind when you rip it to shreds ![]()

Compositionally ok with the house on a third
It's a nice stream
There's no litter
-'s
It's a bit flat, the sky especially lacks contrast.
The bridge railings act as a barrier seeming to stop you moving into the picture
That lampost almost in the middle of the frame keeps drawing my eye
river leads your through the shot
There is a bridge - I like bridges
House looks like a place I'd like to live
Way too dark - could you not use a mask to brighten the dark bits?
Over sharpened trees
tree on the left side doesn't really sit well - either have it in or out, half way looks a bit like an accident
+ delightful riverside location
+ good lead-through with the stream
+ good advert for archetypial britush
-too much sky, needs to be cropped at the top
- bridge is good, but the railings act as a barrier
- not sure what has happened during the processing, but the whole image has a mottled effect to it.
Don't know why it is that dark, as it is lighter on my screen, the bridge I take your point, didin't think of it as being a barrier, but yeah I agree, didn't even see the lamp post in the shot.
I have the original still, so I will take another look at and re upload with changes, have no idea why it should look mottled Saltireblue though.
Think I need to fiddle with monitor as well a bit.
Thankyou for all your comments.
