I don't do a lot of DM, but here's one from the archives.
I took Trevor Troll for a ramble in the fjords because he was fed up with standing like a statue outside the souvenir shop and having visitors make rude comments about his magnificent nose. He looks happy to be out and about, but I think he ate a bit too much lunch.

Trevor? Trevor? No way Pamela - we don't have Trevors in Norway Tongue I recognize this guy, it's Thorstein Troll, with the one bad eye, and nose red from too much drink......

Don't know if anyone else can appreciate this quite like I can - LOL how you have made my day.
+Nicely pasted (you did paste, didn't you? - cause those souvenir trolls are big to drag that far up a mountain)
+Fun
+Nice and sharp on Thorstein and good dof in the rest of the image.

-Maybe a bit more room at top for Torstein's head
-Will come back later for
-more negatives if I come up with some.

I'm still chuckling. Where was this taken - in the Sogn part of Norway? Reminds me of Lærdal where I spent my summers.

Anne

OMG!

Childhood memories of my Father having one of these 'Trolls' have come flooding back! I used to have chilling nightmares from it all the time (I was around 4 or 5)! I couldn't even walk past it when it was dark!!Eventually, it was given away and I was safe........now it's all back Tongue

Hi, Anne. Sorry, I usually call my trolls Trevor, and my gnomes Gerome. Glad you put me right, though.
So glad I made your day.
The background was taken in Bergen.

Hi, Andy. So sorry to bring back nightmare memories for you. I think you either love them or hate them. I love them.

Pamela.

I wish I knew where in Bergen.....that's my hometown, but I just don't recognize this Sad Possibly one of the coastal islands near Bergen?

Oh dear, Anne, now you've got me. All I can do is tell you that I was on a cruise in Norway and went by coach to this hotel and it overlooked this view. It was some years ago, so the trip information is long gone.
Pamela.

Hi Pamela,

+ Fun shot, Trevor seems to be "at one with nature".
+ The top part of Trevor's edges blend in well with the background
+ I like the way my eye is led from Trevor, and along the river below, up to the top right of the image

Feel like I'm being a bit picky with the negs:

- The piece of rock that Trevor is standing on doesn't blend in as well in the bottom centre area of the shot
- I keep noticing the little pink blob type thingy which seems to have hair growing from it by Trevors left knee and wondering what it is
- ???? can't think of another neg

This made me smile Pamela, and my granddaughter, Freyja (she's 8 yrs old), said to tell you that she liked it a lot!
