You have coped with the tones of this statue rather well; I'm glad you have converted it to monochrome.
It is the Laocoön, the original of which I believe is in the Vatican. Regarded as the ideal visual expression combining beauty and pain . . .
It's a shame you have clipped the very edges of the statue, but in fact nothing of significance has been lost. Statuary is very difficult to photograph satisfactorily; I think you have done well.
