I like that Ed - you caught me on the off there - I'm stumped for a reply.
A really lovely image of both the cricket and the cone flower.
this is just gorgeous love the deep red colour
Love the composition
What more can I say, Brian, other than SIMPLY SUPERB ! Superbly composed with the Bush-Cricket posing perfectly for you. Superbly detailed with terrific textures and colours and softly blurred pastel bg tones to die for.
PS. The "cricket" badinage made me chuckle
like that he is on a red flower!
This is excellent !! Very well taken !
A cracker, Brian Carol
Wonderful macro Brian.
Thanks for the UA Sylvia - I'm very grateful.
WOW. Seriously beautiful light and detail on the cricket, Brian.
Macro work at its best Brian, superb
I do like the light background here Brian - it sets off the cricket very well. Super detail and terrible puns - ok, I admit to a small smile.
No one does macro better Bri SUPERB as always mate
I'm fed up with this cricket puns GAME and wish it were OVER, because it's always hard to MATCH Ed, he's such a good PLAYER, but it's great SPORT, and we have a BALL. He CREASEs me up with his puns, and is always a HIT with me.
This image SCORES with me, Brian, and DELIVERS photographically, as usual.
Lovely perch for the Cricket Brian, great colour & dof.
Perfect Brian, 'GONG' coming over
I love the composition, detail and the pastel background Brian.
Thanks for the GONG Geoff - very much appreciated.
Stunning shot. Ann
I can't beat PamelaJean on the pun front, that is a match winning peformance she's delivered and she is right at the very top of her game

If you’ve ever dealt with high-contrast lighting - a landscape under direct sunlight or a brightly-lit screne shot from inside a darkened room - you’ll appreciate what Active D-Lighting has to offer!
If you have the camera on a tripod during live view, you can zoom in on your subject in the monitor for precise focus.
For subjects that are in motion, choose Dynamic-area AF.
If your subject is poorly lit, shutter speed will slow and pictures may be blurred. You can choose a high ISO sensitivity for faster shutter speeds and sharper images.
This option controls how autofocus adjusts to sudden large changes in the distance to the subject during continuous-servo AF.
