I have some odd interests; something that I look out for is the glamorous shop mannequin fallen on hard times and forced into less fashionable employment. Here are some more seductive models from Brenzett's Aeronautical Museum.
V1 & V2 were photographed through glass, in fairly confined space, which rather limited the composition options available.
I wonder if V3 will recognise herself?
Thanks for looking,
Moira

Quote: V.1 has some wonderful eyelashes

Yesterday, Bigles in make-up, today the Land Army in false eyelashes...
Thanks folks. By the way, before anyone asks for more space on the left of V1, there was none!
I have a b&w conversion of V3 that I might upload some time, but I wish the foreground detail was sharper.

'Who do you think you are kidding Mr Hitler if you think Old England's done.......

Three great images capturing the true essence of a life time before our tender years....

The poor fella depicted in Number 2 looks like he might have a touch of 'jaundice' or 'Yellow Fever'

v2 for me Moira - I like the balance of the colours and shapes, though v1 is more glamorous, and her lipstick tones well with the words SmileSmile

What a very feminine comment! I must admit that's what made me want to photograph her (and she was darned difficult, this is taken from the corner of the display cabinet and there was another mannequin on the left...)
Thanks folks.

I wonder where the yellow mannequin came from?
Well photographed Moira.
I seem to remember there are some similar mannequins at the Winston Churchill 'Battle of Britain' Experience (Just opposite the Harry Worth window!) Not sure how easy they are to photograph though!
My Sunday upload features a very old mannequin too!

I am amazed by the reality of v1. What a great use for the retired models.
V2 is rather disturbing....mummified perhaps!

Hard to imagine the girl in V1 Moira,
spending all that time putting her make up
on before going into the fields to pull the tatties up !!
Not sure what exactly that is in V3,
but perhaps a tattie gun to slice them up into chips !!

V3 looks like a fire hose nozzle?, yes the young ladies did often put their make up on before going out in the fields WHY! those pilots flying by lol. who knows what could happen, my Cousin and I used to watch them through a knot hole in their hut lol. we were about ten years old then or even less great fun, like them all so many things today bringing back memories! love it, regards Leon.GrinGrinGrinSmileSmileSmileTongue

I love the glamorous model in v1. You'll have me looking around now - just wish I'd paid more attention to the mannequins while I was there. I can't remember what I wore that day...

The model in V1 is wearing Max Factor Lash Effect Mascara and Maybelline lipstick shade 403, Sundrenched.
V2 has a Shiseido face-pack, which looks as if it should have been removed 10 minutes ago.
V3 is the nozzle of the latest false tan spray applicator....

Malc, thanks so much for the expert identification, particularly in the case of V2 - that's really specialist knowledge. I'm rather concerned that it comes from a man...
Cheers everyone, off to watch the cycling.

The mannequin in V1 definitely looks like an ex-glamour model. Can't say the same for the one in V2 Grin

we can't see or guess the glass in #1 & 2...
prefer #1 for composition, but #2 has a divine shade of blue...
