A winner here....
and yes you are precious....
keep these coming
Stunning self portrait. Well done.
Gold star for this!
A portrait of a life itself..
yeah that kind of expression is precious.. It is earned.. Sedated.. memories in the backyard of the eyes, very clear, trying to ooze out.. but restrained..
Precious is that what remains..
I get a feeling of suspension.. but determination too.. and then there are so many things, which are trying to emanate..
a lost longing, the whole intensity of it, only a distant iota of it remains.. a subdued anger perhaps.. a very minute hint of mockery as well perhaps..
But someone very still and frozen still..
Pls dont mind my writing this.. This may all be bullshit..
All in all, the journey of life and the process of ageing and whatever comes with it : respect, sturdiness.. but in the end again, life is not a beautiful poem.. it's just a poem..
A very powerful image..
The within preserved in a craqueleure of gold.
We are all precious in His sight.
Thanks, everybody. =)

An extraordinary self portrait...
The composition made so effective by the look on those eyes and the lines on the face... Wisdom lines? Suffering lines? Life itself...
A really remarkable result. Well done. IB

If you’ve ever dealt with high-contrast lighting - a landscape under direct sunlight or a brightly-lit screne shot from inside a darkened room - you’ll appreciate what Active D-Lighting has to offer!
If you have the camera on a tripod during live view, you can zoom in on your subject in the monitor for precise focus.
For subjects that are in motion, choose Dynamic-area AF.
If your subject is poorly lit, shutter speed will slow and pictures may be blurred. You can choose a high ISO sensitivity for faster shutter speeds and sharper images.
This option controls how autofocus adjusts to sudden large changes in the distance to the subject during continuous-servo AF.
