I'd never heard of Tom Carter until one day when he appeared in our forums, in our gallery, in our pro portfolio section and on our other site add your face. It seems he did the same all over the web. His mission to blog the world about this new book. It wasn't surprising that a few days later it arrived in the office along with the most in-depth press release we've ever had.

The book so actively promoted is 15x15cm and 638 pages deep. The unusual design means it won't sit well on the book shelf but might squeeze on a spacious CD shelf. While turning the pages it's easy to see that Tom has a right to be proud enough to shout about this book. It's a beautiful visual diary of a journey through 33 provinces of China.

On his travels Tom gives us an incredible insight to the people of China, from poor to wealthy, young to old. You can see he becomes totally absorbed in their culture and delivers a fabulous insider view, capturing emotions through the lens. It's split into five larger areas and then each area has chapters devoted top the regions with a brief summary of that region. Each region has a selection of Tom's photos with brief, but informative captions. It's not a travel guide or a photography technique guide but it will keep you enthralled for hours at a time.
