New Features List

Just letting you know that we now have a new Panoramic feature to the gallery. This will allow e2 members to upload images that are 2000x450px and up to 800k in filesize.

We now have the Reader's Choice Gallery linked to from the gallery home page and from the site PHOTOS drop down menu. David's also cleaned up the menu on the Gallery home page so it should be easier to spot the upload button and the other gallery menus.

The directories sections are now two column for non enhanced pages, making it easier to view more content on one page.

We have added a view count on each photo for e2 members so they can see how an individual photo is performing rather than having to go to the stats page.

We have just added forward and backward buttons in the gallery. Just hover over the left or right of any photo to reveal an arrow and click anywhere in that area to go back or forward through the gallery.

Just a heads up - we have added a new mini gallery of avatars. You can vote too!

We just changed the gallery upload page so it explains the new V4 upload specs for resized photos. As part of the redesign you're probably aware that the normal gallery size has been increased from 500 to 600pixels.

We have also set a new much higher limit for compression:
normal gallery images raised from 60Kb file size to 100Kb
e2 1000pixel images raised from 200Kb file size to 400Kb

Hopefully this should please everyone, but please still try to keep the file sizes well below these figures by optimising you file before uploading. Ideally we'd like to see 600pixel images at 70k and 1000pixels at 200k.
