Sony Europe have announced two new digital cameras, the DSC-F77 and the DSC-FX77. Both offer fixed range, swivelling lenses. The DSC-FX77 offers 4 megapixels and Bluetooth capabilities, the DSC-F77 also offers 4 megapixels and USB 2.0. Both cameras can be used with a USB cradle.
Fashioned from high quality brushed stainless steel and measuring just 87 x 57 x26.7mm, The Digital IXUS v features a 3.2 Megapixel CCD, a new high performance Digital Imaging Core (DIGIC) processor and a 2x optical zoom lens.
This year's contest received 5,025 submissions from 77 countries across all continents, an increase of approximately 60% on the number submitted in 2001. Approximately a quarter (1,099) came from Europe, more than double the number of European entries received in 2001.
