An apology to owners of Nikon's new D2Xs camera has been posted on the Nikon European support centre website regarding the lack of RAW file support. Support is currently limited to the Nikon PictureProject software as Nikon Capture will not support the camera until the new NX version is released.
Nikon introduces the latest images from space captured with Nikon D3S digital-SLR cameras and Nikkor interchangeable lenses ordered by NASA.
The software enables users to determine whether an image has been altered since capture. Image data can be used for verifying image authenticity by law enforcement and other government agencies, the media, insurance companies and has a variety of other business applications.
The new software succeeds Nikons Capture 4 Camera Control, released in 2003, and includes advanced features such as Viewer, providing substantial operational improvement.
Following Jessops' plans to axe 81 of its shops as announced last Thursday, the photographic retail giant have unveiled exactly which stores it plans to close down.
