CAPS currently provides a highly efficient way of viewing and zooming images. As part of the Scalado CAPS imaging platform, its patented RAJPEG JPEG codec technology, enables 'Region of Interest' coding. This enables very fast image processing while viewing, editing and transferring images. It also reduces the need for heap memory by 25x.

The 32Gb NAND flash memory can be used in memory cards with densities of up to 64-Gigabytes. One 64GB card can store over 64 hours of DVD resolution movies or 16,000 MP3 music files.
