Taken late this afternoon and shows the final stage of my lilac tree for this year, that is, until it's the turn of the leaves to fall in autumn! Short but sweet season it has really, from buds on 19 April to this in just 7 weeks.

It's a shame the flowers don't last longer but you have made even a dead flowerhead look special!
