Decided to make my mission macros for a wee while, at least until something else distra...oooh...shiny...
Seriously though I am trying to develop my macro skills so your thoughts, comments and feedback are very welcome.

Great composition. Sorry not much help. Looks great.
Good composition and lighting. The focus seems to be on the rear petals. I would have preferred it to be in the center for this composition. The dof with macro lenses is so short it can be fustrating getting the focus point just right. Good start - keep going.
Thanks Phil, appreciate your comments. My focus point was slightly left of centre with an aperture of f22 to try and keep as much of the image as possible sharp, but as you say I was slightly off. Just practice I guess!
Hi Mark - sorry me again (too much time on my hands at the mo)
I've had a play in photoshop and uploaded a mod. The changes I've made are:
1 - in levels I've dragged the white to the right to brighten the image.
2 - in curves I've changed it to a S shape to increase the contrast.
3- in colour balance I've in creased the magenta in mid tones to warm the centre of the flower up.
Hope you don't mind me fiddling and possibly be of help.
I really like the composition on this. It works well.
Phil, excellent thank you. I'll experiment with the same settings and upload as a new version for comparison.
Well I think this is a terrific macro shot either version is fine by me you have kept it crisp and clear, keep up the good work I will return!!
I love it, the image is really sharp an clear. The black background helps to make the white of the flower bright and as a result of which you eye is pulled towards it instantly the only thing I would say is that it maybe needs a bit more shadow espesally in the center to brake up the yellow a little bit.
Love you Daddy
