Taken today whilst on a studio open day at City Studio in Leeds centre, Was great to finally get my backside into a studio, and was great to have photographer - Mr Stevie Joy, go through the equipment and techniques with us students.
For my first studio experience - (with assistance) lol, I think it turned out pretty good!

I highly recommend the studio and will return very soon Smile think I got the bug Smile

Nice professional pose Ryan. A small amount underexposed, - the lights needed to be a little brighter, and white balance looks slightly cool, - not a lot.

Uploaded a mod, - also added a small amount of skin sharpening, - that lens is very revealing at f/8!

Good work,

Regards

Willie

I did some basic retouching by cleaning up the stray hairs, skin healing, dodge and burn and upping the exposure and contrast in selected areas. The eyes had too much blue in the whites so I reduced this and warmed the colour balance slightly as well.

I like the shot and with a boost to the levels to change the black and white point it will look very good.

Alan.

Thanks Alan!! Smile yes after uploading those hairs have really annoyed me especially at the top Tongue and yeah the colour cast is slightly out, looking to buy a good monitor calibrator as been really struggling to get the colours accurate lately, looked fine before I saw it on a different screen Sad
Thanks for your advice Smile

Anyone suggest a good calibration kit? Been looking into either a colormunki or a spyder, but need to see which has most benefits Smile
