Two Famous Doncaster built trains, Mallard built in 1936 and Eisenhower built 1937.

I stood for an age awaiting a people free shot and came very close to getting but the young Lad was fascinated with the model train , bottom left.

A well taken shot, I was in the Museum last week when they moved Dwight D Eisenhower into that position from the workshop

The Mallard is a British icon. Have to admit I have never heard of its American cousin, though.

The inclusion of the lad gives scale.
