This time some (almost) dog free Snowtographs taken during my first jaunt out with the camera since discharge from hospital. A covering of snow has the amazing ability to make the most unprepossessing of areas look magical and I'm extremely grateful for that as my jaunts are limited to the immediate area with just the camera (camera bag too heavy).

I'm a great fan of sophisticated gadgetry so bought a raincoat for my camera. However it is such a damned fiddle to put on that I resorted to the much less sophisticated plastic bag and elastic band for this lot. You will see from V4 that it was snowing quite heavily during this jaunt and the plastic bag arrangement served me pretty well.

They are in no particular order of preference, though I confess I do like the image of the girls next door's snowman and snow dog in V2. Yes I know that it would have been a much better image if I had got down for a much lower POV but I can't get down and up again at the moment. Please note that I sought and got the permission of the next door neighbours to take this shot.

Anyway, thanks for looking and I hope that you enjoy at least some of them.

A wonderful set of wintery compositions Lynne. For me the images depicting the snow covered Cemeteries are the most poignant. "At peace enveloped in a white frozen shroud"

A magical set of snow scenes, Lynne, as I browsed through them I kept changing my mind on which was my favourite, until I reached V.12. That, for me, has the most wonderful light, a great composition, so very beautiful. Carol

A wonderful array. So good to hear you are making such progress and what a great set to have captured in cold and no doubt treacherous conditions. I'm sticking with the simplicity of that stunning tree in V1.

V2 - it's Tommy Cooper!
The graveyard shots are nearest to my photographic heart. We have a cemetery just beyond our house but I was too bone idele to venture there in the snow!

Snowman and snow dog make a great shot, Lynne: and with your first outing, you have captured a good selection of snow shots from near home. Although I have not gone through what you have, most of my recent shots are also from very close to home. Hope you keep well and gradually manage to travel further afield.
Kindest regards, Ronnie.

A superb set of snow scenes Lynne, v2 for the fun factor, v3, v4 and v9 are my favourites. It looks like you had a great time out in the snow getting these for us, and you may get another opportunity again over the weekend if the forecasters are to be believed!Wink

You do prove the point that presentation is as important as content.

I echo that strongly.

Now I know there's no need for preference but had I to choose based on beauty alone, it'd be the tree ones and V4. Vs 1 and 4 topping the lot. But I have to say my FAVOURITE image here is V2 Grin I have NEVER seen a snowdog. Nor have I seen a Turkish snowman. I assume he's Turkish 'cos of the fez Wink The poor thing's got a bite taken out of him, though. Must be snowdog.

Thay may well be so, but where's the model release from the snowman, Lynne?Grin
Good to see you are out and about, if not yet getting down and up again.

V1, after the fun of v2, because of the tree angle, I like the lean. and v12 for the receeding tree line.
