...........as the case may be.

This is a little something I have done since Bill woolybill1 mentioned that this photo could have been from 1912 if it were not for the new buildings and other modern stuff in the frame.
I have painstakingly spent the last couple of days working on this, on and off, give or take a few hours here and there participating in other activities such as heaping up pots of spuds and training beans to climb up bamboo poles, this I might add has resulted in a few raised eyebrows from the neighbours. I suppose it's not everyday you get to see a man pole dancing in the garden whilst wrestling with a plant, especially in a polkadot bikini, just kidding, honestly you'd believe anything, there was no plant.
Now with all the spuds covered up, the beans reaching for the sky, the bikini safely tucked away in the wardrobe until next year and the rain pouring down whilst the thunder, er thunders I can finally upload and gently sip a nice steaming cup of tea. It's just a short waffle today as I want to concentrate on munching on the lovely sarnie my wife has just served up in front of me, cheers Gill.

I hope you like this, I have uploaded the original as a version. Thanks for any comments you may leave.

What excellent work. It really does look authentically old.
I think you've earned that sandwich. Smile

You realise that image will remain with me for a long time...
Excellent work. Now if you could get to work on our local town centre...

Funny, I really thought the PLANT was in the polkadot bikini Wink

Andy I'm right chuffed that you took me at my word: the result is every bit as good as I had imagined in my wildest dreams (and I have some pretty wild dreams - as do you, with the plants in polkadot bikinis and so on!)

Removing the 21st century has the added effect of emphasising the composition, too: straight road heading downhill, curved road heading away to the right from the same source; and now I notice the row of houses on the horizon that I had totally missed before. Fantastic work.

Regards
Bill

Yes Andy,a big difference with all the modern trappings removed.
You must have the patience of a Saint.
And if you insist on wearing a bikini then you must be called Saint Ann !!
