Pink was THE colour. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, this is art. This was the Art-Deco period in 1959, and the car mirrored the style beautifully.

It would be great to see a bit more about style bought back into car design - these days even the top sports cars all look the same, whoever the manufacturer is!

Thunderbirds are go. Sorry, that thought always pops into my head when I see this car. I do agree with your comments re modern car design. Design by computer and approved by the accounts dept.
Your image is superb and suits the style of the car perfectly. I love the stormy sky which contrasts with that powder pink so well. The motion blur on the foreground is also particularly effective.

Did someone say this is an ugly car! I grew up in this era - you could sit on the street corner and see beauty driving by - today's cars - pffft.
