The Hepworth Wakefield is Yorkshire’s major new art gallery.
Designed by award-winning British architect, David Chipperfield, The Hepworth Wakefield will show for the first time a unique collection of sculptures by Barbara Hepworth – one of the most important sculptors of the 20th Century, who was born and raised in Wakefield. Its bold, modern architecture will be a fitting home for an outstanding collection of British art, featuring work by some of the UK’s best-known artists .As one of the largest and finest galleries outside of London, will open in 2011.

A marvellous set of images, Brian. It would be hard to pick a favourite, although I have to admit that V 3 with its strong reflection is very appealing.

A wonderful selection of images with some beautiful reflections and colours. We have been to the Barbara Hepworth Studios in St Ives, the garden, backdrop to many of her sculptures is amazing
