Wow, great pose/staging, and fantastic lighting, or whatever it is that you used to achieve this effect. Spill the beans: what did you do??
A lovely effect on this.

This is fantastic!
I love the painting feel!
you receive my *click!
OK thanks, so this softner in psp - it creates the effect of a painting then?

Thanks just did a search on the web and cant find the filter that you mention, where do you go in PSP to get this? Sorry to ask so many questions but the effect is brilliant.
So now we know........it's still a cracking shot, Emz.
OR does anyone know how to achieve the equivalent effect in PS-CS? Paul
Oh thanks Very much!!
Now I have to go and spend even more money on software!!!
lovely effect, really well executed in every way - well done
(not really cross! )
Thats why I ask Paul, the two programmes are similar and anything PSP can do I'm sure there is something equivelent in Adobe PS.
answersonapostcard ok if u have psp 7 or 8 have a look at this link http://www.sandyncandy.com/bpsp.html the efect i used was in Visman there all plugins for psp u need to download them and put them in the psp folder if u have any probs in installing them email me and im sure i got a tortorial on how to add them u also need to add the MSVCRT10.dll Plugin.dll or most the plug ins wont work send me a email if u have any probs and i try help u more emz
A beautiful photo and the processing adds to the shot as well. As for the model: Oh Mama ;o)
Lol Dave, sigh...Paul
DavidA hello i didnt pay for me psp i downloaded it i know a lot of sites u can get a 30 day free trial or if u have a download program do a surch and download it .... must admit i try not to pay for programs if i can help it
Thanks so much for all that, sorry to keep asking but its such a great effect
answersonapostcard thats ok your very welcome i been a big fan off psp for about 8 years now going right back to psp 1 ... there a lot of plug ins for program so many under rate it but if u prepared to take the time to add the plug ins and play u can get some great finishes
Erm very nice! I am new to photo software. A friend has told me about 'the Gimp' has any one used this software? apparently it is free!
happyostrich cant say its a program i used before but i might look into it and see what its like
Great pose and lighting. Marvelous portrai
This is absolutely superb and refreshing. Thanks for sharing how you did it. Am surprised it hasn't got any award yet other than RC.
Perfect in every way!
A softener filter did that to her hair...clever stuff. Would be interesting to see the original to get a comparison.
Good effect, it works very well,
... even though i can get these filters loaded into PS CS , I cannot get an effect anywhere near yours, you are an image editing genius ....is there something your not telling us all, dont be shy , LOL
Mike_newbie im running the plug ins on paintshop pro 8 i dont' think u get the same efect on cs maybe thats why i like paintshop pro so much Adobe ImageReady CS is a good progam not been able to get the hang over even back when i first got edition 4
keithh i might post the original tomorrow or even in black and white
Although I think this is a lovely image I still can't see how you can get this effect in photoshop from a photograph even with filters. If I'm wrong perhaps you could do a tutorial because I can't get those filters to do this effect and the filters work the same in PS-CS as they do in PSP.
Nice glamour effect, well done.
looks like a cartoon character good effect
Wow a cracking image
Looks so like a drawing, yet I can see the photo that it originated from.
Excellent! Great composition and superb bit of Photoshop magic.
Tony (Happyostrich) I can recommend Gimp, I have been using version 2 on a Mac for some months and for a free package it has a great set of features. It can bee downloaded via gimp.org, or this month's Digital Photo Effects magazine has the Windows version on the cover CD.
4 out of 8 photos with an RC. Well done and all deserved. This is an excellent image. The colours are fantastic together.
It's all been said !! Fabulous work. Click
I'd be utterly amazed if this is a real photo sorry.
Which of the visman filters did you use exactly, cos Ive tried most of them I think.
Please post the original as promised so I can be proved wrong.
Apart from the obvious artlike features, the lighting seems all wrong to me.
If however this is a real photo, then you have donew a fantastic art job on it, but I wait to be convinced sorry.
Fantastic shot! Well done indeed. Bill
Without a doubt a work of art!
A truely beautiful image tweaked superbly!
Congrats on causing such a fuss!
Stunning yet again Emmie, this one is very very special You were right I am jealous as hell!
ok, this is my second visit and I like it EVEN more than I did before. shame 2nd clicks arent allowed!
cant say any more than stunning i too have psp and love it although cant produce work like this what one of the visman filters did you use its a cracker, oh and thanks for letting us get the link to all those brill plugins us pspers dont get much call on here HUGE click stuart
I don't know what to say. Simply superb.
WOW....beautiful composition and model..!
great image and effect.
Very sweet and soft. Perfect capture, the 300D is doing its job.
I have downloaded the vizman but it has so many so which one exactly does this effect. regards ian
However it was taken or produced its quality work. Nice one. click
fantastic image, love the soft tones, the lighting and the model is also great, good pose
I love this effect, nicely composed too.
Wonderful. So natural, beautiful rather than erotic.
Well done! Spot on! Click!!!
I doubt its a photo?
Please tell us which effect you used to get the oil painting effect.
Excellent lighting...wish i could do somethin' like this someday =)
So, my first impression was right. You are an artist!
So do we get to see the original, Emz?
I doubt it
Thats quite some effect. Lovely image.
Come on Emz, give us some more insight.
If you really took this picture, we'd love to see the original.
It would show such an expertise for portraiture that I'm really suprised you havent done a whole lot more.
I guess it must not be a photo then, shame.
Are there not rules about takign pictures of a picture? For a start it is surely someone elses work?
Quote: Hello julesm well sorry i not been about for the past few weeks but i just had a good look at all u remarks on me pic ...... i had told people that asked what i used and even sent one a tortorial on how to get the efect ... now look if u gona leave silly remarks then maybe u shouldnt even bother to look at me pics ... coz i realy dont have time for negative silly remarks from the likes of u
Like I said, I'd love to be proved wrong
Wish I know how do photos as good this one
Ok, let me backtrack a little, and appologise for what you have actually taken as harrassment over this picture!
But Emma, please can you help me understand as you have with another member, just how you did this. I'd love to be able to produce such an effect. Is that too much to ask?
Just find a painting and photograph it, simple.
Or if youre really clever, take a stunning photograph and add some softness and light in psp
When that explanation doesnt wash, makeup an imaginary filter that supposedly did the work for you. Its simple when you know how.
Beware though, that the visman filters seem to trash the original photos, so be very careful what images you run them on.
if you go to here then pick PSP classroom from the menu on the top and intermediate from the menu on the left there are a lot of tutorials that do seem to produce painterly effects that may (or may not) be what has been used here.
Hope that is of some use.
Many thanks Chris.
I shall go and have a look.
I'm only making a fuss because no real answers have been forthcoming.
Nope, looked at pretty much everything on the site, and nothing I can find will turn a photo into a painting like this one.
All Emz need to do is say how its done and perhaps show us the original.
Oh well - I tried
Like the others on here i am amazed at how you managed to take a photo and turn it into such an amazing picture that looks like a painting.
The effect that the filter you have used has had on the models hair is really good its something i wouldnt of thought possible using either psp or elements.
It would be good if you could post some more photos on ephotozine using the same effect.
One question. You said that you took the photo from the side as the main photgrapher was talking photos from the front, however there is still a material backdrop in your photo, was this added later using psp or was the model completely surrounded with this blue backdrop?
Blimey, okay, now I see what all the fuss is about. A bunch of folks sent me your way, and I'm glad they did.
Hi Emmie, I'm with Jules on this one, call me an old cynic but I cant believe that this effect has been acheived by manipulating an ordinary photo of a girl.
Much more likely a photo of some artwork.
I'd love to be proved wrong.Show us the unmanipulated orginal photo( not of the artwork!)and i'll buy you e2 membership.
Please can I have 2 witnesses to enforce this offer.
i have just stumbled upon this picture. but whats more intersting is the comments. i want to know now!is it a photo or a painting? we'll have to columbo or that murder she wrote bird to sort this out.
i've just noticed that emmieuk hasnt been on here since july last year. looks like we'll never know!
My offers on the table.
Thats a shame. Still I think I know anyway.
I think we do.
