Due to a new tradition, before posting a serious of photos,
I'm submitting a picture of the city that remains a muse for generations of painters and photographers alike,
me including.
It may sound bizarre, but only in December 2005, when I first looked around thru the objective of Fujifilm FinePix S 5600, something happened to me.
I suddenly realized that saw everything with new eyes: whatever I looked at, I tried to imagine
how it could have been if I would have tried to take a picture of it.
People, animals, places, all had to go thru this test.
Life took a new direction.
I guess that was when I started loving Prague
Write about your experience, what you felt when you began taking pictures.
Im sure we will all love it!

Ah George...I can relate as I had an equally shaking epiphany not two months ago...I now look at the world as though through a viewfinder, looking for pleasing shapes, symetry, randomness, aesthetically pleasing or otherwise...I have a thirst and a hunger that cannot be sated unless and until I am taking pictures...
This is yet another gorgeous shot of your city my friend...beautiful!
A very pleasing picture of Prague, George, I love the architecture and colours.
I have to agree with SoupyD about looking at the world as though through a viewfinder. Sometimes I have to check myself, but it is hard to stop. Today I watched the sun seeping through the forest and thought how beautiful it was, but I have always taken it for granted before, what a shame! Photography has literally opened my eyes to the beauty in the world.
Crisp clear with beautiful colours, what a stunning city it is, well done,Adrian
Such a clear and beautiful photo - amazing architecture, no wonder you love it there George - by the way, recognized the dome right away!
I used to walk around and make a box with my hands and pretend it was a camera to see how things would look and what kind of balance I could create in my make believe photos. (I was really poor and raising a child on my own then) Then I got the old Ricoh and had a real camera to play with - aways a long wait to get the pictures developed to see what I had created - always an exciting day for me! My digital has reopened my eyes and my creative side that I had put on hold for too long. I also started to look at the world differently, especially the macro side as I love detail and being able to do post production work allows me the freedom to create, almost like painting. This site has given me a place to share and people like you George, make it all the more exciting!
Lovely shot of a lovely city George. I know what you mean about photography changing the way you look at the world. All the best. Bruce
Hi George,This shot of Prague is so beautiful i love the windows, the texture, detail of the building and the colours and lighting/exposure.Awesome shot.Take care.Ann![]()
Since i picked up my camera i have started looking even around the house for different ways i can photograph things, which wall i can use as a background and get good shadows and outside even just in the garden becomes full of wonder.Everything is looked at in smaller breakdowns and how i can build them together differently even.
1.Have you tried a self-portrait?
yes, once.
2.What is your photocamera?
Anything I get my hands on. I usually use a Nikon or Kodak digital (4MP) but have recently bought a Fuji Finepix S9500.
3.What kind of writing do you do?
Mmmm...what makes you think I write?
4.Where can I read it?
I haven't published....yet.
George,
Another great shot that will draw people to your great city. It is difficult for us (outsiders) to believe that one doesn't see the beauty of Prague on the day you are born. However, I think this is true of anybody's home town. Sometimes it takes outsiders to point out what was there all along -- or sometimes, it is the lens of a camera. -=Walter
you've started a thread here George...I now start looking upwards and down alleys and think about what would make a pleasing shot or something that might get me another RC!!!!
a well designed picture..love the spire peaking out above the trees.
Hope to get back to Prague soon
jeff
