The story, this little meerkat is 4 weeks old I was trying to get a clear picture but only managed a partial shot of mum and she was doing what meerkats do and digging, the sand flying all over the little baby and thats why you see just a tail in the main picture, I felt it best not to meddle - my cloning not being that good. Then it started to rain and I mean buckets full, so we had to leave the meerkats and get into the dry - all this when the original plan was to go dragonfly hunting
but it was too windy to even consider a day in the field.
Many thanks for all c/c's on yesterdays upload I am most grateful.

Such a sweetie .... I think all young as so cute ... pity they have to grow up
So sweet - definitely has the "Ah" factor Ann ![]()

What a cutie, and well captured Ann.
Thanks for the comments on my poppy shot, the field in question is very close to Shrivenham, on the wilts/oxford border alongside the A420, just out of shot are the 5 wind turbines that are sited close by.
Hope you are well.

Still chasing THAT poppy shot Ann.

Lovely image. Mum is doing what we tell young children not to do on the beach, "Don't throw sand it will blow in someones eyes."
Definitely has the 'aaah' factor, Ann!
Not the easiest subjects to photograph, so very well done here ![]()

More fodder for these infernal adverts that seemed funny when they first started, but that was a long time ago.

Very nice shots, good capture of the moment, don't find mum's tail intrusive as it is part of the scene, it would be quite puzzling to see a sand covered youngster with no apparent reason. The picture tells a story.

The poor little thing looks terrified it's going to get buried.
A wonderful dragonfly shot Ann. ![]()
