A colourful evening

A colourful sunset over Mount Wise and Mayflower Marina in Plymouth.

The evening looked as if it was going nowhere in terms of photography as the sun was setting and nothing appeared to be happening.

It always pays to be patient though and as the sun dipped below the horizon the sky turned a pastel shade of pink and brought out the texture on the clouds superbly. It only lasted about 10 minutes but what a great time to be out with the trusty Nikon.
