While on the theme of winter......

Visiting close friends in eastern Wisconsin, well north of Green Bay in December 2012, got a taste of real winter (which we rarely get here in Philadelphia, our current and short deep freeze notwithstanding). As a winter lover, it was a treat. Cold, snow, and a falling apart small barn. What was not to love?

Peter

I enjoy it when we get it....not often, not much. I think my favorite days are blizzards. Just sit back and watch it happen. My friend Rabbi Arthur Waskow calls blizzards Nature's Shabbat.

Simole, beautiful images, with a powerful impact.
They are all excellent, Peter, but V1 has tremendous impact - I love ruined buildings!
Marvelous!

A blizzard here would be wonderful just now-- our snow cover is poor and the ice is treacherous-- The Wisconsin light is gorgeous on those barns, V3 , I think, needs some Amish help!

I like V2 here. Great barn, though I'd like to see it a few more years down the line.
Might make it if I go easy on the Chardonnay.

Three very nice captures of these buildings. V3 which I think is a dwelling has a rather precarious peek roof. Well done Peter.
