I've worked a bit on this one as when it came out of the camera I could barely see the lady as she was so much in the shadow, so with a little help from Lightroom, I've got some detail - I hope! Cienfuegos, Cuba, again, and very much a grab shot.
Thank you all so much for your time, comments, suggestions and mods yesterday on Fishing with grandad! Your suggestions and mods were all very helpful and the comments provided me with lots of smiles!
Thanks for looking and for any comments today! I hope you all have a good week.

Well spotted Ann, like the composition and the detail,
Fred.
Love it Ann, the textures and tones are excellent! The bonus is the lady, very good photography.

Trev.
No wonder she can smile, with a stout wooden door and an iron gate to protect her from marauding photographers!
Well worked and rather attractively composed.

Bill
Fantastic shot, superb textures and tones, very well done.
Hugh
great extures .. and arent you the clever one to bring her out...
I've looked at this a few times. There's a relationship between the lines and the smile, can't put it into words but it's beautiful.
Moira
She's smiling with delight at being in the cool of the house, while you are in the boiling heat of a Cuban street. You've managed yet another fine image from your island trip Ann, well done.
Dougie
well observed and good eye or glimpse contact.
the grotty door is a beauty in itself
An enigmatic smile, happy, sad, resigned??? And an excellent composition with the frame within a frame within a frame. Well worth the effort, Ann.
You've done well to bring out her smiling face ![]()
I hope she has a back door ![]()

A great capture Ann, and very well composed seeing as it was no doubt a quick grab shot.

Well framed indeed, love the expression you did well to capture her, great detail on the doors, works well.

Very well shot to begin with, Ann, and you've brought out the light so well on the lady's face! I like how she doesn't look unhappy or suspicious about you taking her pic. Rather, she's calmly studying you as study her.
Brilliant candid portraiture ![]()
