There's nothing quite like a good book is there? Admittedly this particular book isn't my cup of tea but that's ok - it's only a prop.
The good thing about getting the bus home is that I can think about stuff - like where did I put the velvet jacket - I wonder if this or that idea will work.
My main problem with this was that I couldn't find the flipping toupee tape to stick the ruff in place so had to wedge it situ and move very carefully. I'll see if I can root it out ready for next time.....

You must have had a bad day Alison ....... you're looking bit long in the face (sorry
but I'm sure someone would have said it if i didn't)
Cracking job and as entertaining as ever
Thanks folks - I'm rather pleased with the way this one turned out and I have a confession to make........ I've just ordered two more masks - a fox and a penguin ![]()
I must say it didn't occur to me that it might be creepy - that's a bit of a bonus!
I need to work on the costume a bit - ie. make or buy a proper ruff - or find a top I can attach it to - that would make life easier. I fear there might be a few more of a similar style turning up in my portfolio......
Oh as for looking a bit long in the face -
I'll admit that the mask was a considerable improvement on the real face underneath!
Thanks again folks ![]()
I'm thinking jodhpurs to go with the outfit now - sadly I don't have any (they've disappeared somewhere in the last 25 years since I last rode a horse). Actually vintage ones might be better - the ones with the big wings - something else to add to the list of wants!
I think it was the "Mare of Casterbridge" Brian
A wonderfully wacky self portrait Alison, love this one
