4 December 2010 will be remembered for 2 reasons, 30 years after the death of John Lennon and the last ever concert by a-ha. Some people will rejoice at the fact that a-ha will not be making any more music, but unless you've listened to some of their albums, you'll be really surprised at the depth of some of their songs and stunning melodies. They write better songs than Coldplay and Keane!!

They have inspired U2, The Darkness, Coldplay and Travis amongst others and sadly will mainly be remembered for their ground breaking "Take On Me" video, their music transcends this early pop classic.

Check out 25, their greatest hits album and you'll be surprised at the quality and sheer number of hits they have achieved.

This is Pal Waaktaar-Savoy, the main songwriter and real talent of the band taken at the MEN Arena 20 November 2010.

All comments and votes very welcome indeed.

Andrew.

Thanks Dan and Paul for your comments, (who's Martin?!) Analogue was a good album, Minor Earth Major Sky was a classic come back album. Lifelines is the only album I've been a little disappointed with!
