Here is another picture of my baby boy, this time with his Nan giving him a helping hand to sit up.
Would be interested to hear thoughts on how I can improve.
A bit of tweaking on levels and curves on PS and had to erase a toy that looked like it was coming out of his head!

Agree about the Ahhhh factor!
The eye contact (with catchlights) is good. The only downside is the hand (although I do realise the connection with the title!) - and the baby does look a bit orange on my monitor. I have attempted to address these issues in the modification I've uploaded.
yeah - the hand had to go - mainly bcause it's not telling us anything and looks like it should not be there,
if you had a smiling nan's face there, then it'd be part of the story.
anything like that in a shot can be distracting, badly placed trees, lamp posts, plug sockets etc.
if it's supposed to be there, give it pride of place, if not try your hardest to avoid it in-camera, or at worst, clone out later.
CB's mod demonstrates this well
The focus of this shot, - and most baby shots, is the childs face and expression.
In this shot, its really angelic, full of innocence, and deserves attention.
I understand you particularly wanted to include the had with the title, however I have loaded a mod with a crop that changes the look completely that you may like.
I cropped close to remove the hand; desaturated the colour, reduced red a little; added a diffuse glow to soften a tad; and added a little vignetting to further isolate the face.
Hope you like it and find the comments useful.
The mod by Caraboose is good also.
Regards
Willie
