Just A Hint of Rust but with a liberal helping of algae, peeling paint, decaying timbers, mud, muck and glaur, but set in a landscape presentation.
Image taken yesterday at Bowling on the River Clyde.
My thanks to all who offered comments on Veiled Light.
If you can see it Ronnie, there 100% more that you can't see, love the setting.
Great shot Ronnie. Looks like HDR with so much colour and detail.
Another stunning shot Ronnie. Certainly a master of landscapes. Great colours and excellent composition
wonderful how fresh green is omnipresent here, even in the boat. the blues are as varied and lovely.
if you compose it into an image, even muck turns in to a beauty
(have been applying said material in generous helpings to tomatoes and roses today, which proves that beauty originates from muck)
Beautiful shot. Every aspect just fits together perfectly.
What a delightful and charming shot,Ronnie.......
wonderful comp ronnie fantastic detail wonderful colours and textures love to shot that at sunset or sunrise a cracker top grott
A grotty picture in the nicest sense, Ronnie. Love your description too. The composition is so well balanced, you immediately take in the boat with all its colour, texture and dereliction, then your eye follows down its length to the red boat (the colour contrast works well), follow that one on to the last hulk. Lead in stepping stones . The light contrast has been handled well, too. Lovely image.
So good to see you out and about !!! Colours are wonderful Ronnie. Composition is superb !
guessing this one is for your mate mick
Great subject matter Ronnie. Looks like a place where Boats come to die.
Masterful composition, with the eye leading you in to all 3 boats in perfect order, colours are all complimentary

great shot Ronnie but dont go down that road, others from north of the border have a monopoly on grot and rust.
You always upload very pretty pics Ronnie,
so nice to see some good old mucky grot here !!
Hello Ronnie, this is really an excellent shot, lovely light and the clouds are fantastic. Well composed take and presented well too..
NOTE: SUGGEST HOW TO HELP CAROL GLADMAN??
Definitely and indepth shot into grunge which has excellent inpacted Ronnie.
What an interesting spot! I liek the way you have used the line of the foreground boat to lead you in to the second boat which has a vector from it's direction that leads your eye back across to the third boat. Very well composed!
Think that needs a lick of paint! A great composition and capture, Ronnie, set against some beautiful scenery
Nostalgic trip for me with this one Ronnie. My career in shipbuilding began at Scott & Sons, Bowling, which was sited where these trees are now, a busy little privately owned and run place, which had an excellent reputation for building a variety of small craft in steel, inclluding tugs, coasters, puffers, etc., a great place to serve your apprenticeship. The harbour was a busy place too, and I find this shot a very sad sight for me. Haven't been near there for many years, though I always visit Old Kilpatrick when I'm over as my mother, father and sister are all there in the local cemetery.
Lovely shot Ronnie, as said so often above, great colours.
