Just A Hint of Rust but with a liberal helping of algae, peeling paint, decaying timbers, mud, muck and glaur, but set in a landscape presentation.
Image taken yesterday at Bowling on the River Clyde.

My thanks to all who offered comments on Veiled Light.

Ronnie.

wonderful how fresh green is omnipresent here, even in the boat. the blues are as varied and lovely.
if you compose it into an image, even muck turns in to a beauty
(have been applying said material in generous helpings to tomatoes and roses today, which proves that beauty originates from muck)

A grotty picture in the nicest sense, Ronnie. Love your description too. The composition is so well balanced, you immediately take in the boat with all its colour, texture and dereliction, then your eye follows down its length to the red boat (the colour contrast works well), follow that one on to the last hulk. Lead in stepping stones Smile. The light contrast has been handled well, too. Lovely image.

What an interesting spot! I liek the way you have used the line of the foreground boat to lead you in to the second boat which has a vector from it's direction that leads your eye back across to the third boat. Very well composed!

Nostalgic trip for me with this one Ronnie. My career in shipbuilding began at Scott & Sons, Bowling, which was sited where these trees are now, a busy little privately owned and run place, which had an excellent reputation for building a variety of small craft in steel, inclluding tugs, coasters, puffers, etc., a great place to serve your apprenticeship. The harbour was a busy place too, and I find this shot a very sad sight for me. Haven't been near there for many years, though I always visit Old Kilpatrick when I'm over as my mother, father and sister are all there in the local cemetery.
Rgds., Jim
