A La Ronde is an 18th-century 16-sided house located near Lympstone, Exmouth, Devon, England, and in the ownership of the National Trust.
The house was built for two spinster cousins, Jane and Mary Parminter.
These images were taken a couple of weeks ago whilst on holiday in Exmouth.
V3 was taken whilst on a river cruise on the River Exe - I only had my 24-105 lens so, this is a much, much cropped image - they had a wonderful view, though!!
Many appreciative thanks for all views, votes and comments on my 'Left, Right and Centre' upload!Smile

I know how many sides are in a triangle and a square Richard,
and I wondered what a 16 sided figure is called,
so I Googled it.
It is a Hexakaidecagon.
I wished I had not bothered now !!
Good set.
Mick.

An incredible house Richard. Have you been inside to see the collection these two amassed during their travels. Thats pretty amazing too.

I seem to remember seeing this property in a TV programme and with views of it's fascinating interior.
No matter what time of day it is the sun ( of it's shining ) comes in one or another of it's windows.
Nicely captured shots of a place I'd love to visit, but probably never will......just that bit far away for me now.

Excellent set of images Richard. I think the interesting feature of the house is the diamond shaped windows, I've never come across such a feature.

A beautiful building but I think those diamond shaped windows trimmed with red spoil it.
In version 2 we see all sorts of quirky windows which are great - it's maybe just the red which
takes away from the design for me.
