Walking towards the end of Whitby's East Pier, I spotted this fine rusty bollard. If you look closely you may just spot it in V2! Wink

I like both versions but especially the first one with the lovely warm colours and textures.

My money is on the gorgeous and historical lighthouse which adorns Whitby's East Pier. However as the week go by I am starting to gain a little interest in 'RUST'. Please let me on the secret into why RUST is so popular in the world of photography at the moment.

Regards Nathan

Nice bit of rust in v1, Trev, but I do like the pyramid composition in v2, the safety ring and jacket giving the perfect coloured anchor points (pun intended). Excellent detail from your processing as well.

You've been looking at too many images from my friend on the east coast, I reckon, Trev: this rusty approach has rubbed off on you now.WinkWink
I always admire Dave's {WhiteRose1} assessment of an image and none truer than here........I have to go along with and endorse everything he has said.
Ronnie.

I'm rather fond of the fittings on Whitby's piers. I photographed a relative of this one a few years ago; it looked as if a sea monster had taken a bite out of it. And it took me half an hour to get up from the deck afterwards!

Mick is truly fighting fit today, I think I've offended him......

What a great title! I can see the rusty bollard in V2. Although I'm a rust fan, my favourite is V2.
