Description

...... Scarborough, looking across the South Bay towards the harbour.

Are you going to Scarborough Fair?
Parsley, sage, rosemary and thyme.
Remember me to one who lives there.
For once she was a true love of mine.

Got back yesterday and started to catch up with y'all. Quite a successful stay , but significantly more DIY than photography Sad Grin .

Thanks to everyone for your encouragement on taking macro images, will definitely try again.

A composition such as I have never seen before from Scarborough, and a very pleasing balanced one it is: exposure on this low light scene has been handled so well avoided burn out of areas around the bright lights.

Scarborough Perth? My daughter lives there and I haven't been yet due to
grandchildren watching here in Scotland!

I thought it was Llandudno from the thumbnail, with the Great Orme in the background, then recognised is as Scarborough on close inspection. A stunning image and a great viewpoint, is this near the cafe on the bank there? I like the time of day it was taken, when there is still some light left in the sky. Why people take photos at night with no light in the sky I'll never know!

I actually have Scarborough Fair as a song on my Nikon D80 (for creating AVs in camera!). A camera with a dukebox, whatever next!

Hey up Dave,

Good composition, it must have been calm the exif say's 8 sec and no blurring in th foreground grasses, well done.

The only thing that spoils it for me is the hammer and screwdriver on the bench Wink And you told me you where doing some DIY yea!

Dave. As I have come on at the end it has all been said. However, great composition, excellent use of available light and Razor sharp. I would be surprised if the Town Council or local authority wouldn't want to snap this image up. Stunning mate

Beautiful shot Dave - you have controlled the exposure very well (quite tricky with all those street lights). From the thumbnail I thought it was one of your Australian shots!! - - maybe pass that comment on to the tourist board.
