If landscapers can up their levels of sunset saturation and get away with it, I see no reason why my golden hour can't be boosted a bit!

I've got about four versions of this from pale to ultra orange but then decided just to upload the one version as it's going to look different on everyone's monitors anyway.

This instantly drew my eye and I think it's the composition. Colour is great but the composition makes it for me. Great shot.

Then began a curious phase in their lives: borrowings beyond all dreams of borrowing - a golden age. Every night the floor would open and treasures would appear: a real carpet for the sitting room, a tint coalscuttle, a stiff little sofa with damask cushions, a double bed with a round bolster, a single ditto with a striped mattress, framed pictures instead of stamps, a single sandal somewhat down-at-heel...

Thank you all so much, your comments and votes are very much appreciated Smile

Moira, there is great excitement. A wardrobe and cupboard has been discovered which has only been partly vandalised by bored schoolchildren in the summer. Small items of clothes, stockings, shoes and handbags from the late Fifties/early Sixties are just waiting for liberating/recycling/preserving for future generations. Indeed, a glorious mini golden age of 'treasure' is just out there calling to be rescued from the wardrobe and made use of in someone's dwelling! Smile

I think you are straying into CS Lewis territory, which will be most confusing for me. Wink

You've used your artistic licence (OK your saturation slider...Wink) to good effect here - I love the tones and textures here.
