Hi Each

Much too wet to go out and take pictures yesterday so I resorted to the indoor studio, otherwise known as the dining table. This is my first attempt at focus slicing/stacking (you have a lot to answer for Ade Osman!) and is a composite of 27 images. The subject, which may not be immediately obvious, is a lavender flower plucked from my garden in the rain.

Thanks for looking and for your ongoing comments.

Enjoy the rest of your day. May the sun shine. GrinGrin

An honest foreword supported by a somewhat breathtaking and quite refreshing image of the stunning flower.

I don't honestly get this stacking thing 27 photo's to get one! I feel it defeats the object, I know the fuji HS20EXR takes three photo's each time and combines them for the best image, plus a 30 zoom and great macro, at least I can take a couple of shots and go on to some thing else, not being technical minded where the camera is concerned plus the time factor, OK your photo is great but a lot of work from the sound of it, nice one good detail like it, regards Leon.GrinGrinGrinGrinGrinGrin

From little acorns, Gerry.... I'd have preferred a darker background, but the stacking works well.

Wonderful detail and composition, i agree with Dave, maybe a darker background, but great job.
Well done,
Darryl.

Super detail in this macro of lavender. You must have a lot of patience to stack 27 images!
