The forecast was promising, but alas, it bucketed down. One from an early start a few weeks ago with chris and Tony.

thanks for looking, my absence from the site seems to increase. although i'm out ocassionally taking pics i dont seem to find the inspiration to do anything with them.

Love the water and the pier Lesley but find the rocks look a little too HDR and for me does not fit in with the rest of the image.

A very well composed and exposed image, Lesley: and the long exposure has smoothed the sea and clouds, giving a very pleasing effect.

I know what you mean about lacking inspiration as I having same problem too.

I like the rocks as thye anchor the shot well. The colour could be toned down a little perhaps as they seem a little saturated but compositionally they are good. The long exposure has created lovely movement in the sky. Good work I reckon!!

A super image Lesley. The smoothing effect of the filter is great and I think the dramatic nature of the foreground rocks work well with it.

Ity is hard Lesley . I have just been through the same thing , A week spent recently in Northumberland and nothing to show for it . Keep on with shots like this though and you haven't lost your skill . A beautiful image with excellent 10 stopper exposure etc ....Phil
