When my back plays up and I cannot sleep, I get up, prowl around and inevitably end up in the dark in the garden, camera in hand: this is the result of one of these night time soirees.
It is of a rather damp tulip "Apricot Impression".
My thanks to all who commented on my last posting, Side Entry.
Ronnie.

A very pretty tulip all covered in jewels! Lovely.

You will have the neighbours ringing the polis, Ronnie, crawling around in the dark with a camera!![]()
A rather fine result of your insomnia, it has to be said.
I can envisage you treading carefully so as not to damage any blooms whilst softly humming Tiny Tim's "Tiptoe through the Tulips"![]()

Snap .... we are both showing tulips today
sorry to hear about your back though .. ![]()
Ronnie your work is always spot on in every detail and this one ticks all the boxes once again, super work as always.

Fantastic image Ronnie, superb colours and I love the water droplets.

Our plants were battered with hailstones yesterday
. The water droplets make this such a beautiful image Ronnie.

A fine result from your late night forays in the garden Ronnie the local residents must love you i can hear them now did you see that lightning last night as you flash around. I do hope this not going to be a long issue with the back this time

Amazing detailed shot, Ronnie
I have a bit of backache at the moment, but it's not inspiring me to go out with the camera! If it got me stunning images like this, maybe I should... ![]()

Hi Ronnie, I hope your back improves ASAP. The only good thing is we get to see so many excellent night shots with you flashing around at night. The presentation, colour and detail are as usual superb.
Take care
Ray
Just picturing you prowling around the garden at night makes me chuckle, but what a good idea if you can't sleep.
Have a nice round 60 Ronnie, superbly crafted as always mate.
beautiful little diamonds crown this fine tulip.
Looks so real to me that I want to touch it and see the other side.
Maybe I should try that Ronnie, i.e. when I have something in the garden to photograph, the only thing out there at the moment is a few of Mary's pansies, and lots of dandelions unfortunately!
Rgds., JIm
PS. Forgot to say how much I admire the result of your prowl!
Hi Ronnie, I had missed it. This is really an excellent shot, lovely water droplets, excellent traditional black background, excellent details of the petals. So on the whole 100/100. Simply stunning image..

A beautiful tulip which you have photographed and presented so expertly, the colours are simply glorious and the rain drops enhance this fine image further
