...still enjoying the close view of life, this one was taken with the 21mm lens, quite a different perspective to my normal wide angle images.

***having broadband issues just now, Virgin updating systems it seems. Can't get on line in the mornings mostly.

Everyone remembers The One that Got Away Smile
The charcoal-grey background is perfect, far softer than standard black and more appropriate to the textures of the petals. The little bit of parallax distortion in the water is a nice touch.
What camera did you use, Dougie? 21mm can cover a variety of sins!

Lovely fresh roses, beautifully lit and captured with the graduated dark b/g showing them off so well, Dougie.
Sorry you are having connection problems.......I have experienced such in the past and it's b-----y frustrating.

Some beautiful roses well captured against the dark background. The lone petal is a nice idea.

The single fallen petal is poignant.
Interesting angle. I find tall vases difficult, for me this would work better if the petal was a little to the right. OK I'm picky...

Superb detail Dougie and well arranged. Actually, looking at Moira's comment, I agree. I wouldn't be able to arrange and take this at all tho'! Smile

Bill it's my Canon 1Ds 111 & 21mm Zeiss Distagon.

Moira. you're quite right I realised after I took this.

Ronnie just the curve of the paper gives the graduated effect.

Thanks to all for your kind comments, I think (hope) my broadband is back working again.

Dougie I would prefer it if the Vase was vertical. .....it probably is but it looks as if it is leaning a bit. However It's what you think tha maters.

A rather impressive floral display provided by these two rather gorgeous creamy roses. Love it.

A lovely display of those roses. I think I don't even remember how my camera works. It's been so long since I last used it. Brother again in hospital.
