My husband was thrilled with this one and yesterday's.How long does it take him to do that big field, and how old is the Gentleman,
He must have been working hard all his life, bless him
I really like it,have you any more,I would love to see a portrait of the Gentleman in his Farming clothes.

Quite a task for the farmer, it was hard work back then and still is by the looks. Raising the reaper could bea grim task for any age Danny, good to see you back.![]()

John is in his 80's and he farms with his son in law and grandson. I have thousands of pics showing them in action and as I am dashing out now I will Pm you this afternoon.
Superb tonal detail and a most unusual angle on the subject.
Bill
Lovely image of a Grand Old Gentleman at work.

Another stunning image of how life was and sometimes still is on these gorgeous working farms. Two magnificent animals, of which I personally have so much respect for. My Great Grandfather worked without horse as part of a Gun Carrying team at the Battle of Messines Ridge, as well as a few other notable horrific theatres of war.
Regards Nathan
Could have been taken 70 yrs ago, wonderful 'olde worlde' capture.
Dave
I really do apprecciate all these images you post of these magnificent horses, Dan. It is always a pleasure to view them, and as always you have found a very interesting angle for the shot.

Full credit to the farmer they have to work hard for a crust. I love your farming shots always superbly documented and well taken, excellent work Danny
Came back to this superb image. I love the composition + the story told in the image. JNC
Quote: I can't express just how much I love these images that you capture on this farm Dan. It is such a shame that this is an almost disappeared way of life.
Andy
Andy thank you so much for your UA and your kind comments.Hopefully John's grandson who is now in his early 20's will carry on working with the horses. I must say it appears to be a very hard and labour intensive life. It can't be much fun staring at a horses backside all day.
Cheers Danny.
The best of the three here without a doubt - love the angle - a well documented series
Glad that the move went well and that you both like your new home ![]()
